BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Turning Point USA at Louisiana State University will hold a vigil service in honor of Charlie Kirk, the national organization’s founder, after he was shot and killed on Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Utah.

The vigil is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at the LSU Student Union Theater, according to the campus chapter.

“We pray that Charlie Kirk be delivered into the kingdom of heaven where he will be reunited with his savior Jesus Christ in eternal glory,” the chapter said in a statement. “Please continue to pray for the Kirk family, the entire Turning Point USA community, and our nation.”
