LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A 19-year-old has been formally charged with murder in a May Lake Charles homicide .
Today, a Calcasieu grand jury indicted Kamarion Harrison of Lake Charles on a count of second-degree murder.
On the night of May 13, Lake Charles police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Louisiana Avenue. Officers found 47-year-old Ray Anthony Kelly Jr. dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
LCPD said Kelly was shot during an altercation with Harrison.
The next morning, LCPD SWAT arrested Harrison at a home on Roy Road in Lake Charles.
Harrison is being held at the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on a $2 million bond.
