CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) -- A local man wrote a song about the tragedy of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the very day they happened and believes it will carry on for years to come.
It's been 24 years since Frankie Fordeley of the Frankie Fordeley Band wrote "After 911." It came to him after four commercial airplanes were hijacked and nearly 3,000 people were killed.
"It's just devastating. It's horrible, horrible," he said. "I know that Jesus came through me to write that song."
He remembers it like it was yesterday.
"I went into my dad's house. My grandma was living with him at the time, and they were watching on TV the plane hitting the tower, and I said, 'My God, Grandma, what are you, what kind of movie are you watching?' and she goes, 'No, Frankie, this is for real," Fordel
