POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) -- It's been four months since First News learned about the severity of the structural problems at the Poland branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
Those problems came with three options -- fixing and expanding the current budget or building a new library somewhere else.
Late Thursday afternoon, a group of Poland residents, known as the "Poland Library Citizens Group," showed up at the library's board of trustees meeting, demanding they save the Poland Library.
"It's an architectural masterpiece," said Joan Smith of Poland's architectural review board.
Smith was one of the six residents speaking before the board of trustees, asking that the library remain at its current location on S Main Street.
