A Garner man charged with kidnapping a woman in April at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Aldi grocery store in Mason City intends to plead guilty.

A plea hearing for Blair Justin Greiman, 60, who is charged with second-degree kidnapping and violation of parole, is scheduled for Sept. 29 in Cerro Gordo County District Court.

Greiman pleaded not guilty in May.

Court records do not indicate if Greiman will be pleading guilty to second-degree kidnapping or a lesser charge.

On April 30, the Mason City Police Department responded to a call that a disguised male approached a 20-year-old woman from behind and pressed a gun to her abdomen. The victim was able to escape, and bystanders assisted at the scene.
