The Delaware Republican Party and the Sussex County Republican Committee plans to hold a "Candlelight & Prayer Vigil" in memory of fallen conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Kirk, who was the co-founder of the conservative nonprofit Turning Point USA and a key ally of President Donald Trump, died after being shot at a debate at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Sept. 10. He was 31 years old.
Several leaders and lawmakers alike across the First State issued statements following the shooting, many extending condolences and prayers to Kirk's family and calling for an end to all politically-motivated violence.
