OSKALOOSA, Iowa (KCRG) - An Oskaloosa high school teacher is on leave after posting on social media about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
Oskaloosa School Superintendent Mike Fisher says art teacher Matthew Kargol made a Facebook post saying “one Nazi down.”
Oskaloosa residents began calling the school in outrage over the post.
The school superintendent says the post violated the district’s social media policies and put Kargol on administrative leave.
“I’m not a person on social media. But many people are and they were sharing screenshots and our comms director, he was all over it, and we were seeing all the traffic and the things that were going on. So we knew we had to get involved,“ said Oskaloosa School Superintendent Mike Fisher.
