LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- At Parc Sans Souci first responders city and state leaders and the public gathered for the Lafayette Fire Department's 24th Anniversary Commemoration of 9/11.
Alton Trahan of the Lafayette Fire Department said it's significant that we remember what happened to our country in 2001.
"Everybody can reflect back on where they were that day and when that does is put you back to what happened to our country when our country was under attack," Trahan said.
Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet discussed the insights gained from the tragic terror attacks.
