RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginians are asked to take a moment on Friday to join in a statewide "moment of prayer and reflection" for Charlie Kirk, a conservative influencer who was shot and killed on Wednesday.
Early in the afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 31-year-old Kirk was shot in the neck at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
Kirk was speaking to a crowd during a “The American Comeback Tour” stop for the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, of which he was a co-founder. The shot rang out while Kirk was answering questions about mass shootings.
