ZACHARY, La. (WAFB) - People are working together this 9/11.
With one day, one moment, in the back of their mind every single second.
“It’s just for all the fallen troops and everyone that came of course,” said Crystal Honore, the daughter of a service member. “We want to support 9/11 and make sure that we always remember.”
Volunteers out at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary pulled weeds and cleaned headstones, honoring those who lost their lives during 9/11.
Others, reflecting, like the Prairieville fire dept. Chief Mark Stewart. He says he was on the ground in New York City just days after the attack with a federal task force.
“I got up there and I was assigned to work nights down at the site where the towers were,” said Stewart.
