VIRGINIA, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Friday, a three-way crash in Virginia resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman.

Woman dies in Iron Range crash

The woman has been identified by Virginia Police as Tara Schumacker of Eveleth.

Officials say she was driving into the northbound lane of Second Avenue in Virginia when she swerved into the southbound lane and struck a car in the oncoming traffic.

The collision then caused her to strike a second vehicle.

Virginia police said when Schumacker was taken out of the car, she was unconscious and not breathing.

Crews tried life-saving measures but they were unable to revive her.

The people in the other cars involved only suffered non-life threatening injuries.
