MINOA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- A Syracuse man has been arrested for falsely reporting an incident after he was seen speeding in a school zone.

On Thursday, September 11, around 12:21 p.m., the Town of Manlius Police Department was taking part in its Enforcement Week in school zones detail in the area of Minoa Elementary School in the Village of Minoa. They saw a red Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling south on North Main Street with yellow cautionary lights flashing as it passed vehicles in the posted 20 mph school zone while driving 60 mph.

The Town of Manlius Police Department activated the patrol car's emergency lights to prepare to stop the truck. The driver of the Ram then pulled in next to the patrol car and reported that he was looking for police so he could report an incident. He said tha
