RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested a man after a months-long investigation by the Northern Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

The case began in March, when ICAC officials say they were tipped off about someone downloading images and videos showing the sexual abuse of minors. Detectives tracked the online activity to a house in the North Valleys. And, they say a search of associated online accounts revealed a substantial amount of additional child sex abuse material.

In July, authorities searched Adams’s home and seized multiple devices for forensic examination. That was completed in September, and Adams was arrested.

He now faces charges that include:
