Sacred Heart has opened the season in dominant fashion, sprinting to a 9-0 record and outscoring opponents 49–5. The Valkyries have paired relentless attack with a stingy back line as they set their sights on another deep postseason run.

“Like our motto this year, we earn — it’s not given,” senior Anna Kosek said. “We really strive to earn each win, each ball, each game, one thing at a time.”

Head coach Eleanor Mitchell says that mindset is showing up daily in training.

“That’s been our main focus in practice — just scoring opportunities in the circle and being hungry for the ball,” Mitchell said.
