A woman has been injured and hospitalised after a crash, which also resulted in more than 2000 homes being left without power on Thursday evening, September 11.

Emergency services were called to the crash site, Calala Lane, about 8.30pm in response to the crash.

Authorities confirmed that a single vehicle had crashed into a power pole and landed on its roof.

A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said the female driver of the vehicle was injured in the crash, and after being treated at the scene, was transported to Tamworth hospital with a head injury.

It is understood there was only one person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

A spokesperson for Essential Energy said crews were called to attend an unscheduled power outage at about about 8.15pm that evening.
