SANDUSKY Co., Ohio (WTVG) - 10 people were taken to the hospital, including one student who was flown to the hospital, Thursday night after a bus crash in Sandusky County.

According to officials at the scene, the bus was a Northwood Local Schools bus heading back from a junior high football game at Lakota.

Officials said the bus failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by an SUV.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on County Road 32 near County Road 41.

10 people were taken to nearby hospitals. One of the 10 people, a student, was flown to a hospital in Toledo for treatment.

The Sandusky County Sheriff said he believes the student who was flown to a hospital was flown as a precautionary measure because of the nature of the injury and the age of the student.
