PHOENIX (KVOA) - As fall routines settle in, Arizona drivers are experiencing a surprising rise in gas prices despite a national trend indicating the opposite.
The national average for a gallon of regular gas has dropped to $3.19, while Arizona's average climbed seven cents to $3.56, surpassing last year's average of $3.42.
In Tucson, drivers are paying an average of $3.27 per gallon, while Phoenix residents face higher costs at $3.82. Meanwhile, Flagstaff and Yuma report prices of $3.24 and $3.20, respectively.
With an abundance of crude oil supply and the shift to cheaper winter-blend gasoline, Arizonans hope for relief at the pump soon.
