The city of St. Joseph is still seeking public input on its next five-year Parks Master Plan, and time is running out for people to give it.

City spokesperson Kayla Griffith tells us a survey asking for everyone’s thoughts will remain up through Monday. So, why is the master plan important?

“ This is going to dictate our priorities for our Parks and Recreation Department for the next five years,” Griffith said. “ It’s also a really important part of us getting funding when we apply for grants from the Department of Natural Resources.”

Griffith says people do care about their parks.
