SALEM, Ore. — The state of Oregon has renewed litigation against the federal government after the Trump administration pulled out of an agreement with multiple tribes that state officials say would have helped boost tribal clean energy development and restore salmon populations.

In June, the Trump administration withdrew from the Resilient Columbia Basin Agreement (RCBA), which was reached two years ago under the Biden administration. Said agreement paused litigation concerning the federal government's building and operating of several Columbia River dams that harmed local tribes and devastated the salmon population , pushing many species to the brink of extinction.
