MIDDLEBURG — Despite the relative ease with which Mifflinburg moved the ball up the right side of the field early in Thursday night's game, the Wildcats' attack was successful only to a point.

That point was most often Midd-West fullback Maesyn Franquet, who repeatedly stepped up to stop the ball whether on the field, in the circle or on penalty corner flies. The junior was so consistently rock-solid that the Mustangs soon settled in and created some threats of their own.
