ITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In the aftermath of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination, some Americans are turning to bridge-building organizations like Braver Angels for answers — and hope.
Founded in 2016 following the contentious presidential election, Braver Angels brings together people from across the political spectrum in an effort to reduce polarization and foster honest, respectful conversation.
“They started that organization with the desire to teach people how to reach across differences and not just look at people as the enemy,” said April Chatham-Carpenter, co-chair of the Event Development and Delivery Steering Team for Braver Angels.
