PISCATAWAY – Their battles started long before they began emerging as formidable wide receivers for Rutgers football , long before they even arrived on campus.
Ian Strong and KJ Duff were on the practice field at St. Anthony’s High School on Long Island, Strong then as a safety and Duff as a receiver.

“The offense was always more powerful than the defense. I used to try to bring that edge to make them compete more,” Strong said. “I think that elevated his game and my game.”
They haven’t stopped competing since then – only now they’re both wide receivers for the Scarlet Knights , who are reaping the rewards off their development into true weapons for quarterback Athan Ka
