COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus police confirm two people were injured Thursday night in an uptown shooting.
The incident prompted a presence of law enforcement officers at Zelmo’s Zip In / Liberty gas station on Veterans Parkway. Authorities cordoned off the convenience store with police tape, which extended to neighboring Shark’s Fish & Chicken.
Our crew on the scene reported seeing at least four shell casings on the ground.
Police added that the shooting victims were receiving treatment at a local hospital. The extent of their injuries was not released. There’s no word on a potential suspect or arrests.
