BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A 37-year-old woman killed in a Thursday afternoon crash near Bonneau has been identified.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office said it was notified about a deadly accident that happened on Calestown Road.

In a news release Friday morning, Coroner Darnell Hartwell identified the victim as 37-year-old Maria E. Aguilar Velasquez from North Charleston.

He added that Velasques, a passenger in the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation.
