KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Part of Front Street in northeast Kansas City has been closed after two box trucks were involved in a crash early Friday morning.
The crash happened on East Front Street near North Olive Street about 4:30 a.m. Friday.
According to the Kansas City Fire Department, the crash involved two box trucks.
The fire department said one of the trucks went off the road, ruptured its fuel tanks and caught fire as a result. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and additional crews were called to contain a "significant fuel leak," the fire department said.
The drivers of both trucks were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
