JOPLIN, Mo. — The tornado that impacted so many in Joplin and Duquesne 14-years ago is getting quite a bit of attention at Missouri Southern State University.
And it's thanks to an archive project – which is being done in conjunction with the university's social sciences department.
The idea started after Joplin resident, Jane Cage, approached the university and asked if it could preserve some of the materials she had. More items have since been donated, and many more are welcome.
A digital collection is currently available online and was created by students over the summer. This project is ongoing.
"The project itself is going to work with students – Missouri Southern students – to work on primary source material, mostly, including photographs, but also documents and other documentati
