A man was punched, kicked and pushed to the ground before having his wallet stolen in Manchester city centre .

Officers were called out to a robbery on Nicholas Street shortly before 2am this morning (September 12).

Greater Manchester Police says the victim reported being assaulted before his wallet, containing around £300, was pinched.

Two suspects have since been arrested after police 'swiftly' arrived on the scene - while the wallet was found dumped in a bush.
