Sydney Sweeney is giving back-to-back surprises. The Euphoria star has taken on many roles, but no one expected her to play Christy Martin, one of boxing’s legends. Sweeney was fully committed to the role, she gained 30 pounds, trained like a real boxer, and pushed herself into completely new territory

When she wrapped filming late last year, she called it one of the most emotional experiences of her career. Everyone already got a glimpse of the look a few months back. “This story is so much bigger than just a film,” Sweeney wrote on Instagram. “It’s a testament to resilience, survival, and finding the strength to keep fighting.” That kind of raw honesty shows just how much this project meant to her.
