Police are trying to trace a West Lothian motorist who failed to stop for officers on Friday morning.

The incident, which took place on Mill Road in Armadale, Bathgate at around 8.30am on Friday, September 12, saw a short pursuit take place between the authorities and the driver of the vehicle.

At this time, the motorist is yet to be traced, however a Police Scotland spokesperson has confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.

The exact nature of the incident is not currently known, however, reports on social media have suggested it was a "near miss" between a child on their way to school and a vehicle.
