A police vehicle was involved in a road traffic incident on Princes Street, with bus and tram services seeing delays.

The incident appeared to take place around 6pm on the junction of Prices Street and Lothian Road.

An image from the scene seems to show a mangled police vehicle halted in the middle of the road. Another car can be seen stopped in front of the police vehicle.

Its front bumper seems to be hanging from the car while its bonnet appears completely destroyed.

Transportation services have been impacted in the area. Lothian buses alerted travelers of diversions in the Princes Street and West End area, affecting the 1, 10, 11, 15, 16, 43, 106, 113, X4, X6 X7, X27, and X28.
