A Scots family has been left stunned after being reunited with their cat nine years after he vanished.
George, a 14-year-old Tabby , arrived at the Scottish SPCA’s (SSPCA) Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre last week and when staff carried out a microchip check they learned he had been reported missing in 2016.
The cat's registration details were up to date so his owner, Frances, was contacted and came to collect George the following day.
Speaking to the Record, the mum-of-two revealed that she had searched for the cat for months after he went missing but had given hope of ever finding him.
