KUTTAWA, Ky. (FOX 56) — A woman was reportedly found unconscious on the bank of Kentucky Lake the day following a party in the Smith Bay area.

According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), troopers had received reports that a sexual assault had happened on the night of Aug. 30. The next day, a woman was found unconscious in the Smith Bay area.

State police wrote in a news release around 8 a.m. on Sept. 12 that troopers were aware of a "glow party" that was hosted in Smith Bray the night before the woman was found, and the victim told law enforcement she had gone to the party before losing consciousness.

When she came to, troopers said she refused medical help. Later that night, she went to an area hospital where her injuries were "consistent with sexual assault."
