PORT HURON, MI – The two children who survived a triple shooting in Port Huron this week are slowly recovering, police say.
The 13-year-old victim is stable and his condition has improved, while the 12-year-old victim remains in stable condition, according to a release from the Port Huron Police Department on Friday, Sept. 12.
Officers responded to the triple shooting at 6:10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, where they found a 17-year-old boy, 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl had been shot.
The 17-year-old boy was killed in the shooting, police said.
Officers took a 44-year-old man, who police said is the father of the three children, into custody at the scene.
