TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The 18th-ranked USF Bulls are headed down to South Florida for a top 20 matchup with the 5th-ranked Miami Hurricanes Saturday.
This marks the first time since 2018 that South Florida football is ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. South Florida also checked in at number 23 in the Coaches Poll.
The Bulls season opened with a 34-7 victory over Boise State in Raymond James Stadium before securing an 18-16 upset against the University of Florida.
With these victories, South Florida has now defeated 13 ranked opponents in its history, allowing the team to climb back into the national rankings. Their highest-ever ranking was at number 2 on Oct. 15, 2007.
