LINCOLN SQUARE — One of the most commanding architectural elements of the Lincoln Square neighborhood is Sulzer Regional Library, encompassing a full city block on the northeast corner of Montrose and Lincoln Avenues.
The library, institution and community space at 4455 N. Lincoln Ave., which turns 40 years old this weekend, functions as the heart of the neighborhood as well.
For example, a few times a week, Robin Fischer books a room at Sulzer Regional Library to get on Zoom chats in her role as marketing sales specialist for local dog-care facility Urban Pooch.
The Lincoln Square resident has been a Sulzer regular for 17 years. While she appreciates its convenience for her remote work lifestyle, the library plays a much larger role in her life, she said.
