PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The La Junta Fire Department was able to put out a chaotic structure fire which was threatening homes, cars and businesses, but we’re hearing from the fire chief who says they didn’t do it alone.

Fire Chief for the City of La Junta Brad Davidson tells 11 News they initially got the call on Thursday, September 4th around 7:10 P.M. about a tree on fire but, “We responded, we were on scene within two minutes and as the first engine was arriving, they noticed it was more than a tree, it was the back of the building located at 618 Colorado (Ave.).

Davidson continues saying, “That was heavy fire conditions showing (and the fire was) starting to spread from the garage at the back of the building into the neighbors backyard as well.”
