(WAND) — Illinois is introducing a new licensure process that will make it easier for internationally trained physicians to provide services in the state.

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) said the process lets international medical graduate physicians (IMGs) to apply for an international medical graduate limited license.

The limited license allows them to practice under a supervising physician and start toward full licensure in Illinois.
