DULUTH — Two men were involved in an argument immediately before one struck and killed the other with his vehicle early Thursday in the Gary-New Duluth neighborhood, authorities said.

Alexander Logan Keller, 35, of Duluth, was charged with criminal vehicular homicide in the death of 37-year-old Mathias Turbes.

Keller allegedly admitted to his girlfriend that he “hit (Turbes) pretty good” with the SUV roughly six hours before the victim’s body was found in the street, though precise details remained unclear Friday.

A criminal complaint indicates Keller and Turbes arrived together at a residence on the 1400 block of 101st Avenue West late Wednesday night.
