DULUTH — A flurry of second-half goals by Bemidji State erased a halftime deficit and lifted the Beavers to a 3-1 victory over Minnesota Duluth on Friday at Malosky Stadium.
The nonconference loss drops the Bulldogs to 1-1-1 on the season.
UMD head coach Greg Cane came away especially disappointed with the team’s momentary lapses in the second half that led to a pair of goals.
“The takeaways were just disappointment; we have work to do,” Cane said bluntly. “We need to have a different mindset when we’re on our home field and when we have a lead at halftime… We lost focus for a couple of minutes, and it cost us two goals.”
