YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Ursuline High School in Youngstown has canceled the remainder of its football season amid a wide array of allegations of hazing, sexual abuse, and harassment made against its players.

In a statement obtained by 3News from NBC affiliate WFMJ in Youngstown, the school's leadership team said it "had hoped to continue our season, with dozens of student-athletes, band members, cheerleaders, and other students, along with coaches, parents and others who are not alleged to be involved at all." However, as pressure mounted and federal lawsuits against the program began to pile up, administrators determined that "the season could not continue, and therefore, this difficult decision had to be made."
