CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Friday was a night of lasts in Cuyahoga Falls.

The last popcorn to be sold at this concession stand. The last crowd in the bleachers. The last entry of the band onto the 85-year-old football field . The last homecoming court. Also, the last national anthem to be played here.

Friday marked Clifford Stadium's last hurrah.

"It's very sad. It's a lot of memories," said Judy Ray. "Crying when the football team comes out."

This game, the "Battle for the Bell" against Barberton, is a rivalry that goes back decades. Alumni from years past and future Tigers filled the stands and the sidelines.

"I thought I'd come back for the last hurrah here," said Ed Denholm.

Denholm was on the stadium's chain gang for over 30 years, helping to man the down and distance markers.
