WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A greyhound named Wade has been reunited with her family after being missing for two years.
Animal Control Officer Erica Petry with the Arkansas City Police Department said she first received reports of a stray dog hanging around behind the Walmart. Employees told her the dog had been spotted there for months.
Catching Wade wasn’t easy. Petry said the dog was cautious and clever, often darting away from nets, leashes, and anyone who tried to get close. Eventually, Haysville-based rescue group Beauties and Beasts stepped in to help, and together they were able to safely capture her on September 5.
