COLUMBUS, Ohio — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in southwest Franklin County on Friday, according to a Columbus public safety dispatcher.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called shortly after 4:45 p.m. to the area of Harrisburg Pike and Searles Avenue in Franklin Township on a report of a crash.

The dispatcher told 10TV a motorcycle passed a vehicle on the berm and was hit.

The motorcyclist was taken to Grant Medical Center in life-threatening condition, the dispatcher said.

No roads are closed at this time.

Additional details about the crash were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
