BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry makes remarks aimed at Sen. Bill Cassidy after the senator suggests that the Louisiana surgeon general write a generic COVID vaccine prescription.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced limitations on who is eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. Anyone over the age of 65 and anyone at least six months old with one underlying health condition can get the updated shot.
After Kennedy's announcement, insurance companies and pharmacies were left confused.
Cassidy recommended that Louisiana Surgeon General Ralph Abraham write a "blanket prescription" for anyone who wants the shot, according to a USA Today affiliate. The blanket prescription is a pre-approved order that allows multiple people to get the vacc
