MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - Friday's storm brought light hail, knocked down trees and flooded some areas in Mesa County, including near the Colorado National Monument.

The west entrance saw minor flooding as debris and mud covered a portion of Highway 340. Most of the damage was near Rimrock Drive and 18th Road.

Colorado State Patrol was on the scene and alternated traffic due to the road conditions.

Despite the conditions, the monument is still open.
