A brief warming trend should hit Portland on Saturday before light rainfall and lower temperatures arrive late Saturday and into Sunday.

The Saturday warm-up will come as a high-pressure ridge brings clear skies and afternoon highs reaching near 80 degrees. By Saturday evening, clouds will increase as a weather system approaches from the west.

Rainfall totals are predicted to range from 0.10 to 0.30 inches in the interior valleys, with slightly higher amounts along the coast and in the Coast Range. The rain is expected to begin Saturday night and continue through Sunday morning, tapering off by Sunday evening.
