OXFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two fishermen were recovered after officials said they were on a boat that capsized on Swan Lake on Friday.
According to Connecticut State Police, Oxford Police Department officers and EMS personnel responded to 5 Manitook Road in Oxford at around 6:49 p.m. on Friday for a report of a possible drowning.
According to the Oxford Fire Department, it was determined two fishermen were on a boat on Swan Lake when it capsized. Both of the fishermen were recovering with help from two bystanders.
One of the fishermen was under the water for three to five minutes, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The other was conscious and alert, according to the fire department.
The condition of both fishermen is unknown at this time.
