LAKEVILLE, Minn. — Lakeville South High School senior Alice Yi has been named to the USA Debate Team, joining just 12 students nationwide selected this year to represent the country at international competitions.

Yi, 16, is known for packing her schedule with activities including serving as a National Honor Society officer, senior class officer, Link Crew leaders and more. She’s also a writer and editor for the school newspaper, a member of the Asian Student Union, math league and DECA, and is an accomplished artist who has won grand prizes at the Minnesota State Fair.

Outside of school, Yi volunteers, does face painting, holds an internship with the Federal Reserve, and is a longtime piano player.
