(WFSB) - Elected officials in Connecticut are facing fall out from social media posts they made about conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
Jacqui Endorf had to resign from her position on the board of education in East Haddam due to her post on Facebook.
She wrote in part, “let’s stop with the thoughts and prayers for the kids of a dead Nazi while ignoring the kids actually starving to death in Gaza and the kids being murdered by guns in schools daily.”
“Why are we only giving thoughts and prayers to somebody’s wife and children and not giving them to those that were in the Colorado shooting and what’s happening around and the way I worded it sucked. It was bad,” she said at a meeting. “My intention was anchor and frustration about why didn’t we discuss this also.”
