England cricket has been rocked by a bombshell investigation into a high-profile identity.
Police say the alleged sexual assault incident occurred in May at a pub in Fulham called The Boundary.
The pub is co-owned by England coach Brendon McCullum, but McCullum is not accused of any wrongdoing.
McCullum was not in London on the date of the alleged incident as England was playing Zimbabwe in a Test match in Nottingham.
“Two women are believed to have been spiked with one also allegedly sexually assaulted,” police said in a statement.
“A man in his 40s was interviewed under caution on Thursday, June 5.
“Inquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
It has been reported that a former England cricketer is at the centre of the police investigations.
